MCPAAA!
This
website is used not only to inform the citizens of Mansfield about who we
are and what we do, but also as a tool for our members to access information
about what is happening in our organization. Our purpose is "Serving
the Community".
In 1998, the
Mansfield Police Department graduated citizens from it’s first Citizens
Police Academy. The class members learned about the operations of the
Police Department and gained a deeper understanding of the issues that
police officers face every day.
Upon
successful graduation from the course the CPA members are given an
opportunity to join the CPA Alumni Association. The Alumni Association is a
volunteer organization of the police department who is responsible for
providing support services to the police department
As an alumni
member you have the opportunity to work with the police department in a
variety of ways. From riding out with officers on patrol to assisting
in administrative tasks and working with dispatch, the Alumni Association is
a valuable asset to the Police Department. Working with Alumni members
allows police officers to have a one on one working relationship with the
citizens of Mansfield and gives citizens the chance to play a very active
role in the law enforcement process. Members help the Department
annually at community events such as Pecan and Fall Festivals. If you
are looking for a place to serve in the community of Mansfield, the Citizens
Police Academy Alumni Association offers you the opportunity to make a real
